Probably most famed for ‘Another Place’ by Antony Gormley installations across the length of the beach. These make for great photographic subjects. This is a place I’ve visited several times and a favourite sunset location for me. There’s always a different composition and image to be had regardless of the weather.

Parking is free at the leisure centre and usually plenty of space, as well as other facilities. It’s a short walk to the beach from the car park, which makes this location great for sunrise/sunset photoshoots.
The majority of images I have from this location have been at sunset or during stormy conditions, on this occasion I ventured out during midday. This isn’t something I tend to do and try to avoid if I’m honest, but that was part of the visit. I wanted to try something different in both taking the images and post-processing them later.
In later blog posts, you’ll see some more ‘typical’ images which I take from this location around sunset and when the sea’s at a higher level but for today, we have daytime.
